What to know about Xiaomi TV, TV Stick and Box
- TameTV started on a Xiaomi TV, so it's the first TV we'll test on.
- On many Xiaomi sets the "draw over other apps" setting is missing. TameTV doesn't need it.
On every Android TV and Google TV
- TameTV will need Android 9 or newer.
- To lock the TV, TameTV will need Android's Accessibility permission on Android 10 and up.
- Android 17 has an opt-in setting called Advanced Protection. If you turn it on, it switches off the Accessibility permission TameTV uses to lock the TV.
- Some TVs hide the "draw over other apps" setting. TameTV doesn't need it.
